But there’s this silent, noble partner of her father’s. So it’s not only stupidly sentimental, it’s also foolhardy on a level that comes dangerously close to too stupid to live. Weariness wanted to overwhelm her.

I really did not enjoy this book a whiff. A Truly Perfect Gentleman.
Marrying the Wrong Earl. A man could not look like this and not know just how perfect his face appeared. She pretended to think it over, so as not to insult him too much. No thought at all, just the delight of new, fresh sensations, much like feeling the first warm spring breeze after a hard winter.
